Marvel Studios Shares New Posters for ‘WandaVision’ Ahead of January Premiere
Marvel Studios has unveiled new posters for its highly-anticipated Disney+ series, WandaVision, giving fans a taste of what’s to come in a few short weeks.
WandaVision is going down in history as the first Marvel show to launch on the Disney+ platform, when it premieres on January 15, 2021. The show will reunite fan-favorite comic couple Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany).
Over the weekend, Marvel revealed the first three posters for the original series on Twitter.

All three posters showcase different television eras – the black-and-white ’50s sitcom period through the ’80s hippie phase. Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige recently revealed that the show will even incorporate present-day sitcom humor shown in television series such as The Office.
While each poster reveals a different time-lapse, all of them share the same subtle easter egg. The wallpaper in each teaser is peeling, revealing what looks to be television static.

There are also some mysterious clues thrown about, such as a random top hat in the second poster.

According to a synopsis provided by Marvel Entertainment, the series is “a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”
This synopsis might account for the television static shown in the teaser posters, hinting that the reality shown in the series might not be real. On Tuesday, Marvel revealed a Halloween themed poster, featuring the duo donning their iconic comic book costumes.

Fans were quick to catch onto Marvel Studios’ patterns, noticing that the posters were falling in a timeline order. With the poster reveal came the realization that the platform was seemingly confirming a trailer release.
