Shawn Mendes Sends Signed ‘Wonder’ Albums to Struggling Record Stores Across the Country
Shawn Mendes’ plan to save struggling record stores in the United States might just do the trick.
Shawn Mendes surprises independent United States record stores with autographed Wonder albums. His fourth album was released on December 4, following a mass send out of signed albums this past Wednesday. The albums showed up with little to no warning.
The Exclusive Company chain in Wisconsin received its load of signed albums around noon on Wednesday. The chain had posted that there was a minimal quantity of autographed Wonder albums that were available at all of its seven stores.
Shortly following this announcement, The Record Exchange, a record store in Boise, Idaho, tweeted about their load of signed albums. A fan on Wednesday shared a photo on Twitter of her signed copy.

Music fans saw a similar move by Taylor Swift this year for the release of her album folklore. Swift sent autographed albums to struggling record stores across the country as a gesture of help from the pandemic.
It is amazing to see artists giving back and treating those who are suffering during these unprecedented times. Swift and Mendes are such an inspiration to everyone by continuing to help those who need it the most.
Make sure to listen to Wonder, as it is a beautiful piece of art. Congratulations to Mendes.
