The cast list for Adam McKay’s upcoming Netflix comedy just got longer, with Chris Evans joining the lineup.

The satire movie titled Don’t Look Up is setting up to be one of the most star-studded films in the last few years. McKay is making his return to comedy after the success of his political film, Vice, about Dick Cheney. The film production was due to start in April, but due to COVID-19, filming was postponed. Paparazzi caught Evans arriving on set in Boston and getting tested before getting to work.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence will be playing an astronomer who discovers a meteor coming towards earth, and the film follows her journey to warn people. Leonardo DiCaprio will also be starring in the movie, along with Actress Cate Blanchett and Newcomer Timothée Chalamet. Rapper Kid Cudi and Singer Ariana Grande have also been named as cast members.

After finishing his role as Captain America in Marvel’s Avengers franchise, many fans wondered what would be next for Evans. Today brought lots of news about the star’s upcoming work. Pixar announced today that Evans will be voicing Buzz Lightyear in an animated film set to be released in June 2022. Evans also will be starring in another Netflix movie, The Gray Man. There have also been talks of Evans joining the Little Shop of Horrors remake, though that has yet to be confirmed.

2020 changed how we watched movies. We long to be in crowded theaters sharing the love of film with strangers over buckets of popcorn. Companies like Netflix have been teaming up with actors, directors, and producers to give us box office quality movies in our homes. Viewers can not wait to see all that Evans has been working on since he put down the red, white, and blue shield.
