New ‘Star Wars’ Spinoffs Coming to Disney Plus Soon

Two Star Wars spinoffs of the character Ahsoka Tano and Rangers of the New Republic will be coming to Disney Plus in various new series’.

Rosario Dawson first debuted as Ahsoka in The Mandalorian. Both new series’ take place during The Mandalorian period. In The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, fans know the cartoon version of Ahsoka, but this is the first time she is being played as a live-action character. Ashoka is Anakin Skywalker’s (AKA Darth Vader) Jedi Padawan.

With the iconic and beloved Star Wars movies coming to an end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker back in 2019, the franchise is looking for new and creative ways to keep fans satisfied.

Kathleen Kennedy also announced the new series Andor (starring Rogue One’s Diego Luna), the animated series The Bad Batch, Lando (directed by Justin Simien), the feature film releasing Christmas 2023 Rogue Squadron (directed by Patty Jenkins). All in all, Disney Plus will be releasing ten series in the world of Star Wars.

The Mandalorian just finished it’s second season and the masterminds behind the series and films you love are thinking of more ideas already. It’s crazy to think that the first Star Wars movie came out in 1977. This just proves these movies and series are timeless as the fan base just seems to be growing.

Past generations are introducing and passing down Star Wars to the upcoming generation, which allows Star Wars to live on and thrive in the hearts of many.
