Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” returns to the Billboard Hot 100 c at the No. 1 spot just in time for the holidays.

The singer-songwriter released the track back in October 1994, along with her holiday album Merry Christmas. Since its release, “All I Want” became an instant classic as it is now a must be on any holiday playlist.

Carey’s song returns to the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart after weeks of making its way to the top. According to Billboard and Nielsen Music/MRC Data, the carol “drew 31.4 million U.S. streams (up 19%) and sold 7,000 downloads (up 8%) in the week ending Dec. 10.” This accomplishment would make it the second time the holiday track reaches No. 1, the first being last year’s holiday season in December.

The artist shared her excitement and thanks on Twitter after the release of the news. Carey expressed, ” I truly wasn’t expecting this at all!! Eternally grateful for the enduring success of this song. “I don’t want a lot for Christmas…” just wishing for a bit more JOY and some holiday spirit for all, especially this year.”

Not only is the holiday song breaking records in the United States, but also across the pond. Carey took to Instagram to share how her holiday hit also reached No. 1 for the first time on the Official UK Singles chart. The singer shared her gratitude with a video as she showcased her love for the holidays surrounded by Christmas decor while wearing a festive onesie.

Be sure to follow Carey on Instagram and Twitter for the unmatchable holiday spirit the artist radiates. Also, listen to “All I Want For Christmas Is You” to alleviate this year’s challenges and feel the holidays’ festive joy.
