Reggaeton star Bad Bunny has reportedly joined the star-studded cast of Sony’s upcoming action film, Bullet Train.

Deadline announced the news on Wednesday night, citing that the Grammy-winning rapper joined the cast alongside Brad Pitt and Lady Gaga.

The film is reportedly based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka, which centers around a group of hitmen and assassins on a train to Tokyo who each have different assignments. Plot details are currently being kept under wraps, including information on the character that Bad Bunny will be portraying.

Aside from Bad Bunny, Pitt, and Gaga, the film also stars widely known talents such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Zazie Beetz, Joey King, and Brian Tyree Henry.

Bullet Train is being directed by David Leitch and written by Zak Olkewicz. Leitch is producing the project alongside Antoine Fuqua and Kelly McCormick. On December 10, it was reported that a crew member tested positive for COVID-19, causing Pitt and other cast members to quarantine. Production on the film is currently continuing uninterrupted.

Bad Bunny is no stranger to acting, last month, it was announced that the rapper would make a guest appearance on the third season of the Netflix show Narcos: Mexico. He will also be featured in the Kevin Hart produced drama American Sole.

A release date for Bullet Train has not yet been revealed. We can’t wait to see this star-studded cast on screen together. In the meantime, we will be eagerly awaiting production news.
