‘The Mandalorian’ Season Finale Was All Kinds of Crazy
The season finale of The Mandalorian, now streaming on Disney+, wrapped up the story with Mando completing his journey of delivering Grogu to his proper home, no matter how painful it was to watch; warning, spoilers ahead.
Season two of The Mandalorian gifted us with some of the greatest characters we had not previously seen on screen, such as Ashoka Tano (played by Rosario Dawson) from the cartoon series, as well as the return of Boba Fett, played by Temuera Morrison. However, most people are still freaking out about the surprise cameo from a true Star Wars legend.

Aptly titled, “The Rescue,” the episode follows Mando as he planned one final daring rescue to save Grogu from experiments being conducted by the evil Empire. It involved a team of female assassins invading the Imperial ship while Mando fought off Moff Giddeon with his dark lightsaber.
Forget Grogu. That was some kickass Girl Power on the Mandalorian season finale. #mandalorianfinale #girlpower

While everything almost went smoothly, everything turned upside down when the Dark Troopers came back to destroy the rescue party. Luckily, our favorite Jedi showed up to save the day.
I knew that the MANDALORIAN season finale was going to be awesome but I never knew it was going to be “luke Skywalker destroying an entire squad of darktroopers ” awesome . @themandalorian is the best thing to happen to star wars in a long time #TheMandalorian #LukeSkywalker

While there are a few fans that are upset that Sebastian Stan was not cast to play Luke Skywalker, bringing back the beloved character still thrilled fans to no end.
Can we talk about that season finale of #TheMandalorian 😱

It was great seeing @HamillHimself reprise his iconic role as Luke Skywalker, in true form, not the cranky old hermit from TLJ, even if the de-aging was a little janky.
That said, love to see Sebastian Stan in season 3
Pedro Pascal concluded the season with his most emotional performance (without the helmet), which made us all ugly cry. It was truly a magical, cinematic moment, watching him say his good-bye to the child he loved so much.
I know he’s going to be overshadowed by the awesome sequence at the end of #TheMandalorian , but Pedro Pascal gave such a powerful performance in the season finale. pic.twitter.com/5Drx41tvwY

While season three has not yet been confirmed, the episode ended on a bonus clip that would introduce The Book of Boba Fett. The series is exclusively streaming on Disney+.
