Miley Cyrus’s Tribute To Her Beloved Dog Mary Jane
Singer Miley Cyrus mourns the passing of her dog, Mary Jane, by posting an unreleased song she wrote as a tribute to her furry best friend.
Cyrus, 28, has previously made comments about being a proud owner of seven rescue dogs. The pop star’s Pit Bull mix that she rescued back in 2012 recently passed away due to her year-long battle with cancer. Miley took to Instagram on January 7 to announce the loss and shared her unreleased song “Mary Jane 5EVR” as a tribute to her late dog, Mary Jane.
The singer shared many photos on Instagram of Mary Jane and their special ten years spent together. Fans have since shown sympathy for the singer’s loss as if it was their own.

The new song “Mary Jane 5EVR” is a bit different from what fans have heard from Cyrus in the past. Produced by Mike Will Made-it, Emilie Haynie, and Andrew Wyatt, this tribute song to her beloved dog is the first of Cyrus’s 2021 music releases. This single follows the release of her 7th studio album, Plastic Hearts, in 2020.
