Gigi Hadid Throws Partner Zayn Malik a Video Game-Inspired Birthday Party
On January 12, Gigi Hadid threw Zayn Malik a party in honor of his 28th birthday with the theme of some old school video games.
Hadid planned this event to also appreciate him as the father of her child who was born in September of 2020. There were arcade machines and colorful balloons in what US magazine hypothesized to be the couple’s stairwell of their apartment building.

Hadid ordered a flower arrangement to resemble Malik’s new album Nobody Is Listening. She said on her Instagram that she “Thought I was crazy for asking but then @popupflorist did this ^^ for z.”
To keep with the theme, Gigi wore space print pants with a black button-up crop top and accessorized with a Western-themed buckle belt and a gold “Mama” necklace. Malik wore a custom Bode jacket.

There were also Superman, Wonder Woman, and R2-D2 balloons as well as custom paper decor with Malik’s face on them. In one of the party photos posted on Hadid’s Instagram story, the couple played Super Mario side-by-side on an arcade machine.

Hadid ordered a cake from Carlo’s Bakery made famous by TLC’s Cake Boss about baker Buddy Valastro. The cake features a giant jersey from the Bradford City Football Club. Under the jersey is grass and to the side is a ticket dated “Jan 12, 2021” with a custom note from Hadid. Malik is from Bradford and even bought a hospitality box in his hometown.
Hadid also made an Instagram post in celebration of Malik’s birthday. The photo features the two of them linking arms and smoking cigarettes. Hadid wore a pink bucket hat, a graphic red-and-gray scarf, a fuzzy black trenchcoat, black pants, and comfy pink-and-white unicorn slippers. Malik had on a white beanie, an olive green sweater, and light brown overalls, with black Nike socks, and sneakers. Her caption expressed gratitude to Malik, stating, “Team No Sleep ! Happiest birthday to our Zaddy baba. So special. Love you long time, thank you for makin me a mamma to the best girl ever ☺️ Wish you the best every single day.”
We hope the couple is having a smooth time adjusting to parenthood with their first baby and wish Zayn a happy 28th birthday.
