Rare Beauty Launches New Stay Vulnerable Collection

Twitter.

Rare Beauty, a makeup line founded by Selena Gomez, just dropped its Spring 2021 line, the Stay Vulnerable collection.

With the Stay Vulnerable collection, Rare Beauty debuts three new formulas, the Stay Vulnerable Melting Blush ($23 USD), Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm ($18 USD), and Stay Vulnerable Liquid Eye Shadow ($20 USD), alongside a new makeup application tool, the Stay Vulnerable All-Over Eye Shadow Brush ($15 USD).

The collection is divided into five sections based on an individual color theme. Each theme – Nearly Neutral, Nearly Rose, Nearly Berry, Nearly Mauve, and Nearly Apricot – includes a corresponding blush, lip balm, and liquid eye shadow.

The shades Nearly Neutral, Nearly Mauve, and Nearly Apricot fall into the neutral shade range. Nearly Berry is a richer and deeper shade with Nearly Rose being the lightest shade of the collection. All fives shades are intended for everyday use for natural and glowing makeup looks.

In a Youtube video by Vogue, Gomez claimed the Rare Beauty collection was inspired by, “the soft, flushed look we get when we feel the most vulnerable.”

The Stay Vulnerable collection is Rare Beauty’s first drop of 2021 and follows the October 2020 eyeshadow pallette drop after the company’s launch in September 2020.

Makeup and beauty influencers have taken to Instagram to share their reviews of the new line, and overall seem to be very pleased with the additions to the Rare Beauty line.

The collection is vegan, cruelty-free, and certified by PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies. The Stay Vulnerable collection is available at Sephora and rarebeauty.com.
