Good Trouble was originally released in 2019 is a spin-off of Freeform’s hit series The Fosters. On December 21, the show’s official Twitter released a short fifteen-second teaser for the third season along with the announcement that the new season will be released on February 17. The fast-paced clip shows Callie (Mitchell) promising her sister that she won’t judge her and shortly after flashes to a scene of Mariana (Ramirez) in bed with potential regrets from the night before.

Joanna Johnsen, the executive producer of the series, promised fans in an interview with TVLine that the third season will tie into where season two left off. Johnsen stated in the interview that the COVID-19 pandemic will not be addressed at first but will come as the season continues. Johnsen exclaimed, “The stories that we were already shooting and that we’d already broken were happening pre-COVID, So for the first half of the season, we’re going to stay in that pre-COVID world.”

This announcement of course got Good Trouble fans excited for the show’s return, who have been patiently waiting for this new season since COVID-19 pushed back the release after originally being set to air during the summer of 2020.

The Instagram account for Good Trouble also posted a behind the scenes sneak peek photo captioned, “Our cast is hard at work filming the upcoming season *safely.* As a result, you’ll notice our behind the scenes content may look a little different this season.”

We can’t wait to see what the new season has in store, but it will no doubt be fantastic. Be sure to tune in to the season three premiere on Wednesday, February 17.
