Regina King Will Be Making Her Hosting Debut on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’

On February 13, Regina King will make an appearance on the popular Saturday Night Live along with Nathaniel Rateliff.

Award-winning actress and director Regina King will make her debut on SNL, live in New York on Saturday, February 13.

The official Twitter account for Saturday Night Live released the news of her forthcoming to the show on January 22. Posted to Twitter was a photo of the official line-up of celebrities who will make an appearance on the stage, captioned “Hello, 2021”.

King will be accompanied by rhythm and blues singer-songwriter, Nathaniel Rateliff. This will also be Rateliff’s debut on the show, performing as the musical guest. In 2020, The singer had just released a new solo album titled And It’s Still Alright

King has since expressed her excitement for her hosting debut on SNL by writing to Twitter, “From #OneNightinMiami to one night live from New York! Pinching myself. Let’s Go! @NRateliff @nbcsnl“.

After the December release of her movie, One Night in Miami, the actress and director has been no stranger to the limelight. The film is an American drama based on Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke, and how they all become friends in Miami. The empowerment of the male roles in the film has gained it much attention and praise from its audiences.

Along with her new film, she appeared on the cover of “The Badass Woman” issue for Style Magazine. King took to Instagram on January 7 posting her glam shot that made the cover.

Since the announcement of King’s debut on the comedy show, the hype has been real for fans, as they have expressed to Twitter.
