Monsta X’s I.M. Announces Release of First Solo Single

Starship Entertainment

Young rapper and vocalist, I.M, set to release first solo single at the end of February since his debut with Monsta X in 2015.

Starship Entertainment’s South Korean boy group Monsta X has gained immense popularity since being formed through reality survival program No. Mercy in 2015. The group consists of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and the youngest member, I.M.

Starship Entertainment officially announced I.M’s solo debut on January 26, stating “Monsta X’s I.M is stepping up preparations with the aim of releasing solo songs in February…we ask for your attention and support as much as we have prepared for a long time.” I.M himself also confirmed the release of new music at the 35th Golden Disc Awards on January 9, stating that he will be releasing a new single in the first half of the year.

I.M. has released solo mixtapes in the past, including Horizon, which features American singer Elhae. Though I.M has released music separate from Monsta X, this expected solo single is unlike anything I.M has released before. This will be I.M’s first official solo single since his official debut almost 6 years ago. Monsta X fans are awaiting the release as they show their excitement for I.M on Twitter and Instagram.

Further details regarding the pre-order and release date of I.M’s official solo debut are expected soon. Keep up with Monsta X and I.M through Twitter, Instagram, and music platforms.
