Nickelodeon classic, ‘iCarly,’ will be making a return to the big screen. The reboot will be exclusive to Paramount+, ViacomCBS’s new rebranded version of CBS All Access, launching on March 4th. The revival will be featuring original and notable stars such as Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor. However, Jeanette McCurdy, Sam’s character, and Noah Munck, Gibby’s character, will not be returning for the ‘iCarly’ reboot. According to Seventeen Magazine, the producer of the new series, Jay Kogen, “confirmed that both Jennette and Noah have both been asked to return. According to Jay, Noah has been approached with the opportunity, while ‘it’s her call’ in terms of Jennette.”

The beloved sitcom ‘iCarly’ was a staple of the early-mid 2000’s nickelodeon era. The show first aired in 2007, with the series premiere ‘iPilot,’ drawing in 4.1 million viewers. Despite impressive viewership throughout the entirety of the series, it, unfortunately, ended in 2012 after 5 hilarious seasons. ‘iCarly’ followed the chronicles of Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), an average teenage girl who is star-struck by the success of her webcam show helped produced by her best friend, Sam (Jeanette McCurdy), the boy next door and web tech extraordinaire Freddie (Nathan Kress), along with Carly’s quirky brother and guardian, Spencer (Jerry Trainor) in their downtown Seattle loft.
While we wait for the show’s revival, the nostalgic theme song will be on loop until we can see our favorite web-series duo back on screen.
