GLITTER: grown-ish season three returns January 21; what can fans expect from this new season?
CHLOE: Wow, well, you can expect a lot, I would have to say. I don’t want to give anything away, but with my character Jazz, she is going to see what happens with her and Doug. You know, at the end, where we left off, she told him, “Hey, I want a break so we could get it together and I can focus on track.” So we’ll see what happens from there.

GLITTER: What can you tease about what’s coming up for the Forster sisters?
HALLE: Yes, well, the Forster sisters are definitely continuing their amazing journey of ups and downs, growth, and their sister relationship. I just feel that I’m so happy to be a part of it because it’s the truth. It’s real to what real sisters were like, what my sister and I are learning about each other. Sometimes we need an extra push from one another, sometimes we need that motivation, and sometimes you need each other to just say, “Hey girl, wake up,” and shake you up, and then you’re good again. I’m just so grateful that in real life, I get to do this with my sister. So being able to play a twin with my sister is really exciting, and I’m just able to go through all of our sister relationships and learn so much from it on screen.

GLITTER: Any fun stories you can share from filming?
CHLOE: Wow, well, I’ll have to go on my memory bank because we shot it at the end of 2019, but I would have to say like every moment together is so much fun and filled with so much laughter. For Halle and I, I remember when we were finishing the end of the season, I think like the last four episodes, in between on the weekends we were shooting our album cover for Ungodly Hour, doing all of that. Then we shot “Do It” and “Forgive Me” in one weekend during grown-ish. So I just remember juggling and balancing everything together; that’s like a fun memory that I can think of.

HALLE: Yeah, I agree. Moments of laughing on set, uncontrollable laughter, and just trying to fit in our music videos in between, like Chloe said so many great memories.

GLITTER: What is one aspect of your character’s storyline or background that you’d like to explore further?
CHLOE: Oh, well, I feel like they’ve been diving more into Jazz and Sky’s track careers. I don’t want to give spoilers, so if I say, I might give something away.

GLITTER: Any similarities between you and your character?
HALLE: Definitely. I feel like Sky is very honest and blunt, and I am as well. So I would say that about me.

CHLOE: For me, I’m not too much like Jazz; honestly, I’m not too much like Jazz. I don’t think, do you think so?

HALLE: No, you’re way nicer than Jazz.

CHLOE: I feel like… I don’t know; I’m in a different headspace than she is. She has a lot of growing to do.

GLITTER: How did it feel to get your Gold Certification plaques for “Do It?”
HALLE: It was such a great moment, filled with so much excitement. I mean, my sister and I love music; we’ve been working on it for a very long time, and releasing the second in 2020 in June was really a blessing in disguise. Releasing in the midst of a pandemic, people were feeling all different types of emotions and struggles of the world. It’s just nice to have music to use as a source of therapy, and we’re so grateful that some people really resonated with the music because that’s all we want to do is bring some sort of healing and love. So knowing that people really listened to it and vibed with it and do so enough that we received that stuff and Grammy nominations is just wild and out of this world. We are forever grateful.

GLITTER: What was a day in social isolation like?
CHLOE: Wake up, work out, eat lots of food and lots of watermelons, watch television, build lego sets, make music, get dressed, get dolled up, do our own hair and makeup, and do a shoot or performance outside in our backyard.

GLITTER: Last song you heard that you related to?
CHLOE: “Ego Death.”

HALLE: Yeah, “Ego Death” is a good one.

GLITTER: Did you guys watch any new favorite shows over quarantine?
HALLE: Yes, I have recently binged Bridgerton, like all of it, and I love it. And so many other shows, what else have we been watching, Chloe? We’ve watched Housewives.

CHLOE: Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love Island was our show a little earlier in the pandemic, Ozark, and Succession.

GLITTER: Go-to film for movie night?
HALLE: We just watched Wonder Woman; I loved it.

CHLOE: That was good. I loved it too. I actually really liked it, and I like how the crystal, no spoilers, but I like how the wish crystal is actually Citrine, which is a crystal of manifestation. So I liked that; I liked how they connected those dots, so that made me happy. I liked it.

GLITTER: Glitter has a celebrity #SelfLoveCampaign. What does self-love mean to you?
CHLOE: Self-love means accepting yourself in every form that you come. Accepting you when you feel like the most fancy, and you feel all cute, but also when you’re in sweats with your hair tied, no makeup on, and not feeling yourself, but you still love yourself. And I feel like, during this pandemic, I have been slowly getting there. I’m not all the way there yet cause we’re all human, but I’m learning to love myself more and appreciate who I am.

GLITTER: Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tease?
HALLE: Yes, well, we are always working on new music, and my beautiful sister is filming amazing projects, about to film some. I’m doing some. We’re just really grateful to continue doing what we love, and we’re just going to try to bang out more music for everyone, and yeah, just continue.

GLITTER: Do you have any dream roles or projects?
CHLOE: I’ve always wanted to be like a badass superhero in her sexy costume.

HALLE: You’d be the best sexy superhero, I think. Chloe could definitely pull off a superhero any day.

CHLOE: Thank you, Hall. What about you? I think you got it.

HALLE: Yeah, I just feel like so grateful, and I think I’m just gonna go with that one.

GLITTER: What are the best social media platforms for fans to follow you?
CHLOE: Everything; we’re on Twitter, Instagram (Chloe, Halle), Facebook, TikTok (Chloe, Halle), YouTube, we’re on everything.
