Garcelle Beauvais Shares Behind the Scene Photos of ‘Coming 2 America’
On January 28, Coming 2 America actress Garcelle Beauvais shared four behind the scenes photos from the upcoming film.
The pictures shared by Garcelle Beauvais include two on-set photos featuring co-stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall (who play King Akeem Joffer and Semmi, respectively). The other two photos are selfies with Shari Headley and Rick Ross.
In Coming 2 America, Beauvais reprises her role as the royal rose bearer for the fictional country of Zamunda. The film is a sequel to the 1988 film, Coming to America.
Amazon Studios released Coming 2 America’s official movie poster on February 1, with a teaser trailer the following day. Hall shared the poster on Instagram with a nod to Beauvais and her character. The film’s second official trailer was just released on February 3.
The film was originally going to be released theatrically under Paramount Studios, but in the wake of COVID-19, the film was bought by Amazon. While filming ended in November 2019, the pandemic forced the film to push back its premiere date.

Returning alongside Beauvais, Murphy, Hall, and Headley in Coming 2 America are John Amos as Cleo McDowell and James Earl Jones as King Jaffe Joffer. Also starring in the film are Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Teyana Taylor, and Morgan Freeman.
Recently Beauvais starred in Tell Me A Story, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As of August 2020, she has co-hosted The Real with fellow panelists Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai.
Coming 2 America premieres March 5 and will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime.
