The Super Bowl will follow COVID-19 precautions, but that won’t stop the performances expected by Jazmine Sullivan, Eric Church, and The Weeknd.

On Sunday, February 7, the 2021 Super Bowl will be broadcasted live from Tampa, Florida at the Raymon James Stadium. The Kansas City Cheifs and Tampa Bay Buccanneers will be playing in the championship game, which kicks off at 6:30 pm ET. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be the announcers for the game.

The Super Bowl will look a bit different this year as The N.F.L will be taking precautions against COVID-19. Fewer than 25,000 fans will be allowed into the stadium, compared to the 65,000 people who have stood in the stands in past years. Every fan that attends will receive a personal protective equipment kit that will include a KN95 and hand sanitizer.

The championship game is set to start off with the national anthem that will be a duet between Grammy-nominated artists, Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church. Sullivan’s debut album, Fearless, was released back in 2008 and has received seven Grammy nominations. Alongside her will be country singer Church who is a four-time CMA winner.

Sullivan announced to Instagram that the two will be singing the National Anthem together.

The Canadian singer and songwriter, The Weeknd, is set to perform at the halftime show. The singer will perform his hit single “Blinding Lights” which marked his fifth number-one single on Billboard Hot 100.

The Weeknd told Billboard in a late interview “We’ve been really focusing on dialing in on the fans at home and making performances a cinematic experience, and we want to do that with the Super Bowl”.

The Weekend released the news that he will be performing when he took to Twitter on February 2, writing “were so close #SuperBowlWeeknd” along with the video for the song “Blinding Lights”.

Tune into CBS on February 7 at 6:30 pm ET to stream the live 2021 Super Bowl and watch the much-anticipated performances.
