Dan Levy announced on social media that he will be hosting Saturday Night Live, along with Phoebe Bridgers as this week’s musical guest.

On February 4, actor and producer Dan Levy posted a video on his socials, announcing that he’ll be hosting this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. The video showcases Levy standing next to cast member Aidy Bryant, and indie/rock singer Phoebe Bridgers. Despite all three of them are wearing face masks, it’s clear to see how much fun they’re having onset. In just 40 seconds, they were able to make a lot of funny quips in front of the camera. The Canadian actor expressed massive excitement over this opportunity, posting a “head-exploding” emoji on Twitter. This marks the first time Levy will be hosting an SNL show, and fans are eager to see his performance.

Levy is no stranger to comedy, being a lead actor, writer, and producer, of the popular sitcom, Schitt’s Creek. He works alongside his father, Eugene Levy, creating a critically acclaimed comedy, centered around the trials and tribulations of the formerly rich Rose family. The series’ conception came when Dan Levy thought of what would happen if a rich family, commonly seen in American reality shows, suddenly lost all of their money overnight. Levy has proved himself to be a talented writer and actor, winning two Canadian Screen Awards, and multiple Emmys.

Within Levy’s announcement, it was also revealed that Bridgers will be performing as the musical guest. Bridget’s latest album, Punisher, came out in 2020, earning the singer-songwriter four Grammy nominations, including ‘Best New Artist’.

Be sure to tune into NBC’s Saturday Night Live on February 6 at 11:30/10:30 p.m. central time.
