The trailer features Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in a variety of shots including fighting on top of moving vehicles, jumping out of airplanes, testing out Captain America’s shield, and attending some form of a joint therapy session.
Moreover, the trailer confirmed the return of Emily Van Camp as Sharon Carter (code name Agent 13) and Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo. Van Camp previously appeared alongside Mackie and Stan in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place after the events in Avengers: Endgame and will consist of six episodes. The miniseries is the second installment in the MCU’s Phase 4, following WandaVision.
When the miniseries was announced during Disney Investor Day, Kevin Feige, the miniseries’ executive producer and president of Marvel Studios, called Falcon and the Winter Soldier a “cinematic experience.”

The miniseries’ creator, Malcolm Spellman, will serve alongside Feige as executive producer with Kari Skogland as the director. The budget for Falcon and the Winter Soldier is expected to be around $25 million per episode. The miniseries is considered to be an action-adventure buddy drama.
While originally the miniseries was set to air in August of 2020, the release date has been changed to March 19, 2021 due to COVID-19.
