Hulu Celebrates Black History Month With New Content and Virtual Concert
The Hulu streaming service is honoring 2021’s Black History month with an hour-long concert and a wide array of new content.
To celebrate this year’s Black History Month, Hulu has been very proactive in regards to amplifying black voices. For Hulu subscribers, the streaming service will be premiering a virtual concert, hosted by Craig Robinson, that will showcase performances from five prominent Black artists. In a partnership with MSG entertainment, the concert will feature Lil Yachty, Swae Lee, 24kGoldn, Joy Oladokun, and Kiana Ledé. This hour-long musical special will premiere on February 18 at 5:00pm PST | 8:00pm EST, with absolutely no commercial breaks. If you don’t have a subscription, there’s no need to worry; on the same day, Hulu will be uploading this concert on their Youtube channel for everybody to see.

Along with their virtual concert, Hulu will also be providing a new season of Your Attention Please; a series meant to showcase famous Black innovators, creators, and inventors. Also hosted by Craig Robinson, this series began streaming on February 5, and for the rest of this month, will continue to drop a 30-minute episode every Friday.
Hulu has also announced the arrival of several new shows and movies within their “Black Stories” section. Content such as Sister Sister, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, and Baldwin Hills will be available for subscribers to binge to their heart’s content. The “Black Stories” hub features a wide range of content, from classic Black comedies such as The Nutty Professor, to historical films such as Selma. Viewers are sure to find the perfect film or show to celebrate their own Black History Month.
