Monday is a film about crazy romantic relationships that can begin and end in the blink of an eye or at least a three-day weekend. Stan plays a DJ in Greece where he is working a party that meets Gough’s character, Chloe. The chemistry is instantaneous and the night is history. They wake up together the next morning and commence on a wild weekend but what happens when Monday comes?

The creators of the film believe this would be a perfect time for those who have been in quarantine for so long to remember the energetic parties and what it’s like to be in a giant group of people again. And of course, falling in love.

You know Stan from multiple roles, Bucky Barnes from the Marvel universe, Carter Baizen from Gossip Girl, and Jeff Gillooly opposite Margot Robbie in I, Tonya. Denise Gough is a smaller actress who works more primarily in theater and UK TV productions so this could be a big break for her.

There are many high expectations for this film due to Stan’s charm, especially after the romantic drama with Shailene Woodley and Jamie Dornan in Endings, Beginnings that was released at the beginning of quarantine. Stan is finding his way as a heartbreaker on our screens whether we are ready for it or not. Monday will be released both online and in-theaters on April 16, 2021, through IFC films.
