Taylor Swift Announces Exciting News on ‘Good Morning America’
February 11 proved emotive for Taylor Swift as she announced the remastering of her album Fearless (Taylor’s Version) on Good Morning America.
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was announced through an exclusive interview with Good Morning America. Swift explains the acclaimed track “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” will be the first released single.
Good Morning America announced, “While Swift didn’t state a release date, she did give GMA an exclusive first look at the new album’s cover and noted that the new Fearless will include 26 songs in total because she is adding six never-before-heard ‘songs from the vault.'”
These six additional songs were written for Fearless (2008), though they didn’t end up being official recordings. This shock has led to wonder what these tracks will include.
Swift released the modernized version of the album’s cover to Good Morning America. Seeming to replicate the 2008 version, this picture shows Swift’s profile as her hair is thrown in the air.
In lew to her new sounds and endeavors, it seems that Swift will be releasing the songs to expel her growth, showing that she can now choose what songs she wants to include.
A lengthy legal battle towards the rights to her songs began after she left the former company Big Machine Records. The recording company was then acquired under Scooter Braun’s company, SB Projects. The self-proclaimed entertainment and media company claimed that they had tried to work everything out with Swift.
Determined to refute the confusion, in a series of Tweets in 2019, Swift explained the complicated status.

Vice stated, “Separately, on the contractual front, Scooter Braun now owns Taylor’s earlier label, BMLG, meaning that contractual obligations that she agreed to with BMLG can be enforced by SB Projects. Many label contracts include a ‘no record’ provision that restricts artists from re-recording music during a certain period—and judging from Taylor’s public statements, the same would seem to apply to her contract with BMLG.”
Many fans, aka Swifties, have taken lead in refusing to listen to the royalties owned by BMLG and SB Projects. This seems to be due to their loyalty to Swift, as they have awaited this lengthy process.

Swift’s contracts with the record companies expired in November 2020. This gave her the ability to re-record her previous six albums, which seems she wasted no time doing. The announcement has quickly made fans excited.

Even though Swift herself hasn’t formally announced a release date for the album, many began speculating April 9 due to the seemingly hidden clues on her Instagram post.
The Fearless (Taylors Version) preorders are available on Swift’s website. “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” will be released at midnight est. on February 12.
