Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover reunite to star in Mr. and Mrs. Smith reboot series.
It has been revealed that Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover will be joining forces to star as Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Instead of reimaging the iconic 2005 film that starred Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Waller-Bridge and Glover will reimagine Mr. and Mrs. Smith as a series. The series is currently slotted for a 2022 release.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith is an action comedy film centered around two assassins (Jolie and Pitt) assigned to kill each other. Their chemistry was so electric, they became a real-life couple known to the world as Brangelina.
The Fleabag actress and the Atlanta actor will also serve as executive producers of the show. This is not the first time Waller-Bridge and Glover have worked together; the two worked on the 2018 Star Wars movie spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Both stars have had great success in Hollywood thus far. Glover is also a singer who uses the stage name Childish Gambino while Waller-Bridge’s career has catapulted since the release of the 2016 comedy series, Fleabag.

While Mr. and Mrs. Smith is iconic, viewers can get excited for how Waller-Bridge and Glover will reimagine the spy comedy-drama. This is a talented duo promising for an entertaining series.
