BTS Performs Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ for ‘MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS’

BTS shared a very unique performance on MTV Unplugged that included special versions of songs including a cover of “Fix You” by Coldplay.

K-pop group BTS performed stripped-down versions of their original songs “Telepathy,” “Blue & Grey,” “Life Goes On,” “Dynamite,” and a cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” on MTV Unplugged. The cover showcased all of the band members with each member singing a part of the song, harmonizing altogether.

Following MTV’s announcement of the performance, #FixYou trended worldwide at number 2 on Twitter as BTS Army shared their excitement for the performance. Two of the performances, “Dynamite” and “Fix You” were shared on MTV’s YouTube channel at midnight after the official premiere on MTV channel.

BTS fans, known as Army, are sharing their excitement and love for the boys as they tweet about the overall performance, vocals of the band members, and appearances of the boys. Along with #FixYou, the hashtags #BTSonMTV, as well as #Jungkook, were trending on Twitter, with live tweets flooding the platform as fans watched along.

The stunning performance showcased the band members’ emotion and range, especially Jimin and Jin who have previously shared their love for the Coldplay song. The song formerly was featured on Jimin’s Bangtan TV playlist of songs he was listening to, as well as featuring on Jimin’s Spotify playlist of his favorite tracks. With beautiful harmonies and bright spotlights, the performance was amazing and fans haven’t hesitated to share their love for it.
