Disney+ is inviting its viewers to stream a series about “second chances,” a term coined by Yvette Nicole Brown who is starring in the series. The upcoming sports drama-comedy Big Shot will be streaming on Disney+ starting April 16. Big Shot had been created years ago by David E. Kelley, most famously known for the series Ally McBeal (1997-2002) and Big Little Lies (2017-2019).

Big Shot tells the story of Coach Marvyn Korn, (played by John Stamos) who is described as a hot-headed basketball coach. Stamos’ character gets kicked out of the NCAA and decides to take on a job coaching at an all-girls school. Stamos’ character will work hard to help the teenage girls become better players on and off the court.

Yvette Nicole Brown will take on the role of Sherilyn Thomas, the dean of the school. Brown makes the comment that the show is about second chances for every character, not just Coach Korn, who is probably the most obvious character to undergo growth and development as of right now.

Vikings actress, Jessalyn Gilsig, will portray Holly, the down-to-earth assistant basketball coach, who will coach alongside Stamos’ character. Stamos and Gilsig’s characters are the complete opposites so this will prove to be an interesting dynamic.

Big Shot will be available to stream on Disney+ this April.
