Disney+ Releases the Concept Art for the Upcoming ‘The Proud Family’ Reboot
Disney+ has released the first look at photos of the characters from The Proud Family, that we all know and love, along with a life update on what they have been doing since 2005 when the show originally ended.
After 16 years, the Proud family is making a comeback on our television screens with an all-new show called The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder on Disney+. This show will be expanding its audience, while still interesting original fans. They will be able to come together and bond over these fun, loving characters.

“Literally, for years I kept hearing, ‘Hey, you guys should bring Proud Family back.’ And I’m saying, ‘Guys, I am not in charge of this. Why is everybody harassing me?’ [laughs] So, for it to finally be happening and for it to be happening the way it is is perfect. I don’t like when things are half-done, and I feel like the reboot will be amazing,” Kyla Pratt said, according to POPSUGAR. “The people who loved watching the original will absolutely love watching the reboot. And it’s going to introduce it to people who hadn’t seen the original! I love it because we’re talking about things that animated shows normally don’t talk about, and I think that’s something that we need.”

Penny is now 14 years old and living her best life. Penny’s immediate family consists of her younger twin siblings, who are fluent in gibberish, her mom Trudy Proud, who runs her own business called Trudy’s Pet Ambulance, and her father Oscar Proud who has become even more overbearing. The show also includes Penny’s Uncle Bobby, her grandmother Suga Mama, and Suga Mama’s dog, Puff.
Penny’s parents’ best friends are Felix Boulevardez and Sunset Boulevardez. However, their daughter, LaCienega Boulevardez, is Penny’s frenemy. Felix’s father is also Suga Mama’s boyfriend. Penny’s best friends are Zoey Howzer and Dijonay Jones and we will also be introduced to “the new kid on the block,” Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, who is “woke.”

The release date for the reboot series hasn’t been revealed yet. However, if it’s anything like the original series, the show will be amazing.
