Twigs revealed to Michaela that the series had been inspired by the music video of her song “sad day” off Magdalene. She explained that the television show is mainly about outsiders, those that try to fit in but are unable to. Twigs has done extensive research on the Black and Chinese martial arts community and found the two have an incredibly deep connection.
Can’t wait to watch the martial arts tv series. I love the Sad Day music video. It is so dope. Congrats on #SadDay SXSW. You are giving me Crouching Tiger sword skills in this mini movie. Hiro did a fantastic job. Your co-star is phenomenal too. Yes Queen!https://t.co/YW1UrfNeyT
