Anthony Mandler

Nick Jonas fans are counting down the days until the release of his newest album Spaceman, which will be released in early March.

Jonas will be releasing his third solo studio album, Spaceman on March 12. He gave fans a glimpse of the futuristic project by releasing a single off the album by the same name. On Thursday, February 25, Jonas released the single “Spaceman,” which contains lyrics that are inspired by the current state of the world as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Jonas expresses how he feels isolated, like a “spaceman.” In the second verse, the lyrics state, “Mask off minute I get home / All safe now that I’m alone/ Almost like a spaceman.”

The single’s lyrics hold words that we can all relate to during these trying times. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Jonas shared, “‘Spaceman’ came into my mind because I was thinking, ‘What’s the one thing that all of us have felt during this time?’ It’s just completely disconnected from the world.”

Jonas took to Twitter to express his excitement for fans to hear his new music. He wrote, “I made this album while doing what most of us have been doing this past year, sitting at home and hoping for better days ahead.”

In honor of the album, Jonas also released limited-edition merchandise on his official website, which consists of long sleeve t-shirts with the “Spaceman” logo on them.

This Jonas Brother has a very busy schedule ahead of him. In addition to the album, the singer will be making an appearance on Saturday Night Live this coming Saturday, February 28 as both host and musical guest, along with returning to his second year as a coach on The Voice alongside Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend, premiering on March 5.

Fans have expressed to Twitter how excited they are to support Jonas in all his upcoming endeavors.
