Anya Taylor-Joy Astonishes Audience Wearing Two Dior Looks During Annual 78th Golden Globes
The Queen’s Gambit and Emma actress Anya Taylor-Joy proved to stun in Dior Haute Couture during the virtual Golden Globes.
The 78th Golden Globes introduced the desirable fashion of stars and celebrities of 2021. Showing off her stunning ensembles at the award ceremony, Anya Taylor-Joy struck as one of the most fashionable attendees.
Working with custom designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, there was much anticipation to see the creations Taylor-Joy would wear. Her stylist Law Roach helped enable the ensemble, posting pictures and videos on Instagram. It seemed to be a proud moment for Roach.
Anya Taylor-Joy started the event by styling an emerald green cape and gown duo created by Dior Haute Couture. The outfit took over 300 hours to make.
Delicate cross-over straps and a scooped back were created to accentuate the bust and sheath. Emerald shoes, made of the same fabric, complimented the monochrome look.
Pairing the dress with over $1 million worth of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, the winning actress showed off with spins and twirls, capturing her grace and beauty.
Nominated for Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit as Beth Harmon, the British-Argentine actress made history. Taylor-Joy became the first Latina to win in the category Best Actress in a Television Motion Picture.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she stated, “We have had so much fun, we have treated this entire experience like prom because I never went to prom, so we have had a really good time. And the benefit of not being in the room is that I got to change outfits, so I got two outfits tonight, which feels pretty cool.”
Taylor-Joy’s after-party dress seemed to be inspired by the classic Golden Age Hollywood look. 1950s glamor, along with inspiration from the original ‘Miss Dior’ dress, gave Taylor-Joy an old soul feel. This custom piece took over 150 hours to make and was paired with matching heels.
Fans are looking forward to seeing more of Anya Taylor-Joy’s wins and iconic looks in the future.
