Ashe and Finneas Release Bittersweet Single ‘Till Forever Falls Apart’ Along With Music Video
On March 2nd at 9:30 am PST/12:30 pm EST, Ashe and Finneas released their much-awaited collaboration single, “Till Forever Falls Apart”, on YouTube, along with a music video.
“Till Forever Falls Apart,” tells the story of two people in a sort of relationship- whether that be a friendship, partnership, marriage, etc. The lyrics explain the depth that a relationship can bring. For the singers, Ashe and Finneas, this song was very personal.
On Instagram, Finneas stated, “This song to me, is a love letter to friendship and I think songs like this one are important. Friends are important. Ashe is important.”
The song was written by Ashe, Leroy Clampitt and Finneas. It was produced by Leroy and Finneas, mixed by Manny Marroquin, mastered by John Greenham.
The friends live-streamed on YouTube before the music video premiered. Witty banter was passed between the two as they explained a bit of the process behind the song and music video.
Ashe stated, “I feel like the main inspiration was sort of Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers era. I really wanted to do a little old school, sort of, movie moment.”
“Till Forever Falls Apart” music video shows Ashe and Finneas dancing. They go through a series of waltzing to what seems to be contemporary dancing. The pair go back and forth from dancing solo to together. Perhaps this is to show that even when they’re apart, eventually they will be able to be there for each other again.
The music video was directed by Samuel Bennet and choreography by Monika Felice Smith. After just one day, the video gained over 575K views, over 96K likes, and reached YouTube’s trending list for the day.
