St. Vincent Teases New Music With Retro Trailer and Mysterious Hotline for ‘Daddy’s Home’
St. Vincent continues to tease fans with new music, amplifying excitement around her upcoming album.
On the night of March 1, St. Vincent took to Twitter simply writing “Hello?” and shared a minute-long trailer that looks to be reminiscent of a 1970s-inspired thriller. Annie Clark, who uses the stage name St. Vincent, is seen in the retro trailer with blonde hair and a trench coat, following the sound of a telephone that keeps on ringing in an abandoned apartment building.

At the end of the trailer, viewers get a small snippet of what is presumably her next single entitled, “Pay Your Way In Pain.” The last glimpse fans are left with is the message: “CALL NOW! 1-833-77-DADDY.”
but in other news… DADDYS HOME!

In an interesting twist, fans can call the hotline and they too will be greeted by someone at the other end. If someone chooses to call the number, the following message will be played: “She’s back, in a new role like you’ve never seen her before. Featuring the new single ‘Pay Your Way In Pain.’ Nobody expected it, nobody believed it, and nobody could stop it.” The voice then trails off, and there is a few seconds of distorted music playing in the background.
