Taylor Swift Sent Olivia Rodrigo a Hand Wrapped Package
Actress and singer Olivia Rodrigo received a heartfelt note and ring from one of her idols, Taylor Swift.
Rodrigo grew up listening to Swift and has been vocal about how much she admires and loves her. After Rodrigo released her hit song “Driver’s License,” Swift commented on her Instagram post about how proud she was of the young singer. Since then, their relationship has only grown. Many other celebrities that Rodrigo looks up to have reached out, including Lorde.
During an interview with Sirius XM Radio, Rodrigo revealed that Swift had personally sent her a hand-wrapped gift. Inside the package, there was a ring similar to one that Swift wore while she wrote Red along with a sweet letter. All of the excitement and happiness moved Rodrigo to tears.

In an interview with Radio.com, Rodrigo shared “One of my favorite lyrics of hers is, ‘Past me, I’d like to tell you not to get lost in these petty things / Your nemeses will defeat themselves before you get the chance to swing,’ It’s in ‘Long Story Short’ off of Evermore. So she wrote about that in her letter a little bit. She’s like, ‘I think we make our own luck and I think when you’re kind to people and do what’s right, it always comes back to you in the best way.’”

The letter contained advice on how to navigate the music/entertainment industry. Swift also shared encouragement to treat everyone she encountered with kindness as the same energy would be reciprocated throughout her career.
“I feel so lucky that I just was born at the right time to be able to look up to somebody like her,” Rodrigo said. “I think she’s incredible. All of her support and genuine, like compassion and excitement for me, is just been so, so surreal.”
