Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s Silk Sonic Drops Their New R&B Single and Video for ‘Leave the Door Open’

Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak have joined forces as duo Silk Sonic, and they’ve just released their first single and video for “Leave the Door Open.”

Last week, R&B stars Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announced that they had formed a new group called Silk Sonic with a new song and album on the way. Their first single together, “Leave the Door Open,” has just been released along with the accompanying video.

Silk Sonic’s debut album is called An Evening With Silk Sonic with funk music legend Bootsy Collins as a special guest host. Fans are anxiously waiting for the album, which does not yet have an official release date.

This is the first album for Mars since the release of his 2016 album 24K Magic, which earned him seven Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Album. Paak’s last album Ventura was released in 2019 and earned him three Grammys, including Best R&B Album.

“Leave the Door Open” is a perfect blend of both artists’ sounds, with the singers showcasing their smooth and soothing vocals. It’s reminiscent of 70s funkadelic R&B, making Collins the perfect fit as a guest for the album.

The video also has a 70s vibe, and it features Silk Sonic performing with their band, with Mars on the piano and .Paak on the drums. Girls dreamily watch them from behind the studio glass while dancing and singing along.

The duo trended on Twitter immediately following the song’s release, and the video has remained number two on YouTube’s trending videos with over 3 million views in less than 24 hours. Fans can’t get enough of the song and they love how well both singers’ voices sound together.
