K-POP Group TWICE Captures Hearts in Latest Online Concert ‘TWICE in Wonderland’
TWICE has turned their attention to their Japanese fanbase with the K-pop group’s second online concert “TWICE in Wonderland 新体感ライブ CONNECT Special Live” which was held on March 6, 2021, at 7:00 PM JST.
In March of 2020, Twice was scheduled to hold a concert at the Tokyo Dome but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the performance was canceled. Later that summer Twice held their first online concert “Twice: World In A Day.” It was meant to connect fans from all over the world with the concept of “a world tour in one day.”
On January 14, 2021, Japanese fans were excited to hear a Japanese-specific online concert. The news spread quickly on Twitter after it was announced on the Korean online platform NAVER.
Naver also stated, “TWICE in Wonderland” will be an online concert held on March 6 for Japan. The concert will be a “journey that restores everyone’s lost imagination so that TWICE can connect with everyone in the real world again.”

The TWICE concert included the use of cutting-edge technologies such as AR (Augmented Reality) and MR (Complex Reality). Unfortunately for the rest of the world, this concert was performed in Japanese and streamed for Japanese audiences only. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop international fans from supporting their favorite members and cheering the girls on.
