Irish-American Drama, ‘Here Are The Young Men,’ Starring Dean-Charles Chapman and Anya Taylor-Joy, Drops New Trailer
Here Are The Young Men, the Irish-American drama and indie film starring Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit), released its first trailer on March 11. The film follows three teenagers, Matthew (Chapman), Rez (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo), and Kearney (played by Finn Cole) when they leave school to go on an alcohol and drug path as they learn to confront their issues.
While Rob Doyle wrote the 2014 acclaimed novel of the same name, he will not serve as the film’s screenwriter as the film’s director, Eoin C. Macken, penned the screenplay.
Chapman narrates the trailer with a monologue about summer escapism as the footage flashes between neon rave party sequences with the dramatic fallout of the incident. The film’s first trailer also gives viewers the first look into the relationships and friendships between the main characters.
The film also stars Conleth Hill, Travis Fimmel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Chris Newman, Ralph Ineson, Susan Lynch, and Lola Petticrew. Here Are The Young Men reunites Chapman and Hill, who last worked together on season six of Game of Thrones.
Filmed on location in Dublin, Ireland, Here Are The Young Men premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh on July 11, 2020. Well Go USA Entertainment and Signature Entertainment acquired the film’s distribution rights in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Here Are The Young Men is an Irish-American drama executive produced by Richard Bolger and Noah C. Haeussner. The film’s production companies include Hail Mary Pictures, Union Entertainment Group, Screen Ireland, Foton Pictures, Funny Leopard Films, and Glanzrock Productions.
