Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2021 Ignites Six Beauty Trends You Have to Try

Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2021 season dropped six exquisite beauty trends for hair, makeup, and accessories. This year, everyone’s favorite runway city took the fashion world by storm yet again with designers such as Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Lanvin, and more. The style range to the bold beauty takes, including the energy, hustle, and bustle, the mode of past fashion week runways was very much present. Despite the runway taking to an online platform due to COVID-19, virtual sessions didn’t stop viewers from seeing the trends planned to take off this year. 

Six beauty trends during the virtual sessions were very prevalent. These trends are a mix of subtle takes on bold looks, taking roots in what appears to be a mix of the ’60s and ’90s. Ranging from hairstyles, mesmerizing lips, and statement pieces, this Paris Fashion Week brought along another wave of couture that will be all the rage.

Middle Parts

Middle Parts were shown throughout multiple sessions. Soft waves gave a light texture to replicate a ’60s boho-chic look for Chloé. Louis Vuitton, Versace, Lanvin, Isabel Marant, and many more had models rocking the style.

Statement Pieces

Bold colors as a statement piece gave the styles a rock-star edge. The bold colors appear as an assist to edgy, alternative-like fashion. Altuzarra created a colorful unibrow look to contrast the minimalist makeup. Versace brought bright monochrome winged liner looks to contrast the grunge fashion. 

Black Eyeliner

Continuing the dark theme was black eyeliner. Mimicking grunge and gothic styles, makeup artists used these references for creating Doll-like eyes. The thick charcoal eye looks replicated a new wave of the late ’90s early 2000s grunge look. Brands such as Dior, Marine Serre, Givenchy, Elie Saab, and Chanel utilized black as the focal shade for their models.

Bangs

Bangs are a new go-to trend for hairstyles. The blunt cuts gave a defying moment to any ensemble. Going back to fierce bangs were Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, and Chanel. Striking sci-fi-esque bangs took priority over more subtle hairstyles..

Hair Coverings

Hair coverings such as cozy knitted snoods, silk bandanas, and headscarves took precedence with Dior, Miu Miu, and Versace. Headwear will perhaps add a subtle vision for comfort. Rather than just a normal hat, head coverings give a vintage feel to modern times, reminding audiences of a time of scarves wrapped around their heads, driving along with their cars top down. A true vintage classic.

Neutral Lips

Lips seemed to be a focal point of the season. Straying from the bold matte lip that trended the last few years, glossy and ombre lips pulled through. Models showcased nude glosses with a dark liner that pulled together daring outfits without detracting from the pieces. The ’90s styled lips were another component to the richness of Versace, Dries Van Noten, Schiaparelli, and Kiko Kostadinov.

These six trends curated the runway, giving a modern taste to vintage style.
