Why People Should Keep an Eye Out for Grammy Nominated K-Pop Group BTS
At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards BTS was nominated for best pop duo/group performance. Unfortunately, the award ended up going to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for “Rain on Me.” Despite their loss, BTS still made history as the first K-Pop act to perform one of their nominated songs at the Grammys. BTS has continually made history over recent years. Let’s get to know them and take a look at some of their past accomplishments.
BTS is a seven-member Korean Pop group that debuted in 2013 consisting of members RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. BTS made a notable impact on the American music scene in May 2017 when they became the first K-Pop act to win a Billboard Music Award. Later that year they made their American debut at the American Music Awards performing their song “DNA.”

From that point on BTS’ fame in America skyrocketed. They went on to collaborate with artists including Steve Aoki, Halsey, and Becky G.
They’ve gone on to appear and perform on talk shows like The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and even Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Time Square.
Some of their most recent accomplishments include the release of their English single “Dynamite” which topped the Billboard charts and got the group Grammy-nominated. But this isn’t the first time that BTS appeared at the Grammy’s. The year prior they collaborated with artist Lil Nas X to perform a remix of “Old Town Road.”
Within the past couple of years, BTS has accomplished many things. They have easily become one of the most successful Korean Pop artists globally. Make sure to stay updated and follow them on Twitter to see what they accomplish next.
