Lionsgate’s ‘Voyagers’ Trailer is an Outerspace Thriller
Lionsgate released the full trailer to ‘Voyagers,’ a sci-fi thriller about a group of teenagers sent on a multigenerational mission to colonize outer space. The “voyagers” undergo intense training and schedules to complete their tasks.
Although the teens are aware of their mission, they still have a lot to uncover. Feelings of resentment and curiosity accelerate the plot when two boys, Christopher (Tye Sheridan) and Zac (Fionn Whitehead), discover that the group had been drinking a toxic blue chemical.
Christopher questions the mission’s leader Richard (Collin Farrell) if they had consumed toxic chemicals, but he ignores Christopher’s question. Richard is hiding secrets from the group and yet feels obligated to be a parental figure to them during the mission.
Richard states in the trailer, “They are normal kids, sensitive and smart. I need to protect them.” Protecting the group is far out of reach after the trailer showcases that the teens get out of control with their emotions. From fighting to lustful moments in certain scenes of the trailer, “Voyagers” will have an intense grand finale.
Will Richard be able to protect the group, or will they defend themselves? The rest is unknown, but this movie is guaranteed to kick audiences into a bunch of cliffhangers.
The release date is April 9, 2021. You can watch the full trailer on YouTube.
Written and directed by Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist), the film stars Tye Sheridan (The X-Men franchise), Lily-Rose Depp (The King), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Chanté Adams (Roxanne, Roxanne), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Game of Thrones), Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light), Archie Madekwe (Midsommar), Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets), Madison Hu (Bizaardvark), and Colin Farrell (The Gentlemen).
