New Photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana for Film ‘Spencer’ Has Arrived
Kristen Stewart has shocked fans with the latest image of her as Princess Diana in the Pablo Larraín-directed film, Spencer. Stewart is finally in full character, from the short blonde bob to the replica sapphire engagement ring. The image features Stewart giving a soft smile as her hand rests on her face. Viewers were also taken aback by the huge diamond ring Stewart is seen wearing, which is remarkably similar to the one Princess Diana received from Prince Charles. Princess Diana’s eldest son, Prince William, proposed to his wife Kate Middleton with the beautiful ring, which Middleton still wears to this day.
Larraín’s film, Spencer will explore Diana’s time with the Royal Family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England during the Christmas holidays. It is during this time in which Diana makes the decision to leave her marriage to Prince Charles. Much of the film has been filmed in Germany but has since moved to the UK. As Princess Diana is being played by Stewart, her ex-husband Prince Charles will be played by Jack Farthing. Farthing is most notably known for the drama series, Poldark.

Stewart is no stranger to portraying real-life celebrities. She had played iconic female punk rocker Joan Jett in the 2010 film, The Runaways. Stewart had taken on the large role at just nineteen years old. In 2019, she portrayed the new wave French actress Jean Seberg in the film Seberg. Her resemblance to those women was uncanny, and stepping into the role of Princess Diana appears to be no different.

Spencer is set to hit theaters this fall. This is a film you do not want to miss. Stewart is certainly giving The Crown a run for its money. For those that are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spencer, feel free to stream The Crown on Netflix, as Emma Corrin does a marvelous job as Princess Diana.
