Our favorite women of Fox’s The O.C. return with a new podcast, Welcome to the OC, B*****s!. The show will be lead by Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke, and will also have guest stars; their former cast members, creator Josh Schwartz, and more, to name a few. The show is set to have over 100 episodes and will premiere April 27.

It was revealed on March 26 that the pair are releasing a podcast, rightfully titled Welcome To The OC B*****s! after the pilot episode’s iconic quote.

Suspicions of a reunion first grew in February when Bilson posted a photo with Clake on Instagram. “FBF???? 🤔 wait for it….. #eternalsummer #covidsafe”

Bilson, who played spoiled teenager Summer Roberts, and Melinda Clarke, who played devious mother Julie Cooper, were both originally guest stars on the Fox drama when it first premiered in 2003. But, this changed as the second season came around, and the two characters quickly became fan-favorites.

In the teaser-trailer for the podcast, Bilson encourages everyone to “Grab your bikinis, your Juicy Jumpsuits, and your flip-phones because every Tuesday we’re going back to the early 2000s!” Clarke then explains that the podcast is “An O.C. rewatch podcast….starting from the beginning, back when we were just guest stars…Every week we’ll go through an episode as we rewatch The OC starting from the very beginning.”

As stated, each week will follow along as Bilson and Clarke rewatch the series, telling the story from the perspective of the set and its cast and crew, exposing new details and fun tidbits on the show, its love triangles, and classic teenage melodrama.

In a statement made to Deadline, Bilson said “I’m so excited to be doing this podcast with Mindy. I think everyone could use a little light and laughter after the year we have endured. Going back and watching all of these episodes has been so fun and I can’t wait to talk about it all, my own personal experiences as well as others involved with the show. From behind the camera, to the makeup trailer to the faces on screen, I hope you will all tune in and come with us back to the OC.”

Fans have taken to social media, sharing their excitement for the upcoming project.

The podcast is a partnership between the actresses and Kast Media. It will be available to listen to on YouTube and all music streaming services. As they say in the theme song….California, here we come.
