“You All Over Me” by Taylor Swift Featuring Maren Morris Is Finally Here – and It Deserves to Be on Your Playlist

Taylor Swift’s new single, “You All Over Me,” is finally here, and it has already topped the country music charts. Swift dropped her first ‘From the Vault’ track featuring background vocals provided by Maren Morris. Swift and Morris’ country pop duet brings a fleet of strong vocals and melting tones. The song dropped at midnight on Friday, March 26, along with a lyric video similar to Swift’s previous endeavors.

Topping charts once again, Taylor Swift created a stir with her new country-pop ballad “You All Over Me.” Featuring Maren Morris as background vocals, the singers harmonize to create a rich sound. Debuting on multiple charts, the song became a quick hit, mirroring her other releases. 

Filled with lush lyrics, the song explains the pain a broken relationship builds. Allowing her to write on how one lives and learns, Swift uses multiple comparisons within the lyrics. This seems to create a young-minded understanding of change. Morris’ subtle vocals enhance the lower tone, giving the song an amplified sadness.

Taylor Swift’s “You All Over Me” (From the Vault) is now the highest-charting country song on US Apple Music chart, surpassing Morgan Wallen’s “Wasted On You”.

Originally written in 2008, “You All Over Me” was sampled for Taylor Swift’s second album, Fearless. Although the song didn’t make the final cut, thirteen years later, it has debuted as the second single release for Swift’s revival of Fearless (Taylor’s Version). 

This country ballad features sweet tones of the country twang Swift became known for. Going back to her performing roots, Swift’s team used a mix of instruments such as Josh Kaufman on harmonica and electric guitar, Aaron Dessner on synthesizer, piano, percussion, electric guitar, bass guitar, and acoustic guitar, and Eric Slik on drums to create the country-pop sound.  

Aaron Dessner, who helped produce Folklore and Evermore, also produced the song that Scooter Carusoe and Taylor Swift wrote.

Swift’s thirteenth-year re-release, debuts after a lengthy legal battle, seems to come at the right time. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is set to release on April 9.
