The NAACP Image Award is an annual award show, run by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, which honors Black talent and representation in film, television, music, and literature.

In his acceptance speech, Page gave recognition to all the ‘incredible’ people he has worked with that helped make the show so ‘unique’.

He stated, “It is the highest honor to be able to represent us and the fullness of our humanity, our beauty, our joy, our glamour, our splendor, of our royalty, our romance, our love. It is the highest honor to represent the people I do represent and I will do my absolute best to be worthy of that.”

This is the first award that Bridgerton has won since its release at the end of December. Within the show’s first 28 days it became Netflix’s most-watched show ever streaming in 82 million households.

After finding success after the release of Bridgerton, Page celebrated his newfound fame with the opportunity to be a host on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. Along with Bridgerton being picked up for a second season, Page has more exciting projects coming up in the near future. He was recently casted in the fantasy epic Dungeons and Dragons, as well as Netflix’s, The Gray Man alongside actors like Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
