Demi Lovato Releases New Song ‘Met Him Last Night’ Featuring Ariana Grande and a Lyric Video To Go With It
Demi Lovato has released her new song and lyric video for “Met Him Last Night” with Ariana Grande, which is featured on her new album Dancing With The Devil…The Art of Starting Over. Just a few weeks ago, Lovato revealed the tracklist for the album, putting fans in a frenzy when they discovered a collab with Grande. Now that it’s finally here, fans can’t get enough.
Lovato first announced the new album last month, her first since her 2017 project Tell Me You Love Me. This may be Lovato’s most personal yet, as it chronicles her struggle with addiction that led to her near-fatal overdose back in 2018.
The singer has been open about drug addiction and her sobriety journey, which she discusses in her new YouTube series Dancing with the Devil. The new album displays her growth as she continues to overcome various trials and tribulations in her life.
Perhaps the most anticipated song on the album, “Met Him Last Night” is about meeting the devil and later discovering he isn’t as bad as once thought. The song was written by Grande for herself, but during the writing process, she felt it would be a better fit for Lovato. Grande intended for it to be a solo single, but Lovato insisted that they sing it together.
