Red Velvet’s Wendy Drops ‘Like Water’ Music Video for Solo Debut

Red Velvet’s Wendy, a 27-year-old South Korean singer, released the music video for her single “Like Water” on April 5th at 6:00 p.m. KST. The acoustic pop ballad is the title track for Wendy’s first-ever solo album, which is under the same name, Like Water. With excitement, fans are trending #TodayIs_WendySolo on Twitter to show their support for the K-Pop singer.

“Like Water” showcases Wendy’s talents as a vocalist. The aesthetics of the video bring out her stunning visuals in floral sets.

At the beginning of “Like Water,” Wendy starts out singing while wearing a long pink dress that flows into train tracks covered in moss and grass. The scene switches back and forth from Wendy wearing her pink dress to another blue and white dress. When the chorus hits, Wendy beautifully sings, “My love is like water,” and the camera zooms in on her face, showing off her blue contacts. At one point in the music video, Wendy is in a bathtub surrounded by multi-colored tinted windows singing, “I just wanna thank you for believing in me.” Her sweet charms shine through as the singer smiles into the camera.

In the first four hours after the music video release, “Like Water” successfully reached one million views. With this goal attained, fans are preparing to stream the video continuously on Youtube to reach a new height.
