Naya Rivera Voices Catwoman In ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’

Naya Rivera’s last film role has arrived. Her posthumous final project stars her as Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in the film Batman: The Long Halloween. The world has continued to mourn the tragic loss of Naya Rivera, who suddenly passed away from accidental drowning in July 2020. Fans of the actress will have another chance to say goodbye as she voices the iconic Catwoman.

Naya Rivera is most notably known for her role as Santana Lopez from the television show, Glee (2009-2015). Rivera had appeared in all six seasons of the show. Santana had been a groundbreaking character; she paved the way for LGBTQ people everywhere. Rivera’s character played a cheerleader who discovered she was a lesbian as she fell for her best friend, Brittany (Heather Morris). Their relationship broke barriers, and it remains one of the most beloved LGBTQ relationships of all time.

Rivera completed voiceover for Catwoman in the DC animated film before her tragic death. Other celebrities starring in the film would include Jensen Ackles, Josh Duhamel, Billy Burke, Titus Welliver, and David Dastmalchian. Ackles will be portraying Bruce Wayne (Batman), Duhamel is Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Burke is James Gordon, Welliver is Carmine Falcone, and Dastmalchian is Calendar Man. Since Batman: The Long Halloween is such a huge storyline in the comic book series, it will be released in two parts: this summer and upcoming fall.

The highly-anticipated trailer has recently been released. Viewers can watch Rivera as an animated Catwoman playfully tell Batman, “You could use a little fun.” This film promises to be the perfect blend of thrilling and fun.
