In order for votes to count, fans must use the appropriate hashtags for each category with every Tweet they post. If you vote through the iHeartRadio app, your vote counts two times the regular vote. Although only residents in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia can vote on iHeartRadio’s website, all users worldwide can post their votes through Twitter.
iHeartradio explained how to properly cast a vote. On their website, they stated, “An example of a valid social vote would be: I’m voting for #BlindingLights for #BestLyrics at the #iHeartAwards. RT to vote too!“
