Dua Lipa Performs New Cover of Arlo Parks’ ‘Eugene’

Dua Lipa has performed a stunning rendition to Arlo Parks’ song “Eugene.” Lipa performed the single during her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance. Apart from “Eugene,” she also performed tracks “We’re Good” and “Hallucinate” off her pop masterpiece, Future Nostalgia.

“Eugene” had been one of the earlier singles off Parks’ debut LP Collapsed in Sunbeams. The beautiful performance had been praised by Parks herself, who tweeted, “IM ABSOLUTELY FLOORED! Dua, I literally felt like I was levitating listening to you covering Eugene.” She revealed how this tune emerged from her living room and has now reached incredible heights with Lipa’s pop stardom. Parks writing the word “levitating” also gives a nod to Lipa’s song of the same name. It was a nice moment to see incredible female artists supporting one another.

Fans of both Lipa and Parks have praised the cover. “Eugene” by Parks is amazing already, but having Lipa cover the song only added to the magic of music. Fans stormed social media to obsess over the cover like Parks.

Arlo Parks is an accomplished poet and musician. Collapsed in Sunbeams was released in January, receiving incredible reviews. This debut LP has received support from the likes of Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Lily Allen, and Michelle Obama, among many others. Parks cannot believe she has these celebrity fans who have also inspired her own music.

Parks will be embarking on a North American Tour to promote her debut album. The British singer-songwriter has always wanted to come to North America, and her tickets are selling out fast. Above all, she is grateful to meet the many faces who love her and support her music.
