Hilary Duff Set to Star in Hulu’s ‘How I Met Your Father’ Sequel Series
Hulu has announced Hilary Duff to star in How I Met Your Father, a sequel to the critically acclaimed How I Met Your Mother on April 21. Hulu has been given a 10-episode straight-to-series order. The comedy sequel series is created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are also on board for this new series. Hilary Duff is set to star as Sophie, who will be telling her son how she met his father. This idea follows Josh Radnor’s role as Ted Mosby where Bob Saget narrated Ted’s experiences before finding his mother.
How I Met Your Mother is considered by fans to be one of the most beloved and innovative comedies of all time. The series had aired from 2005-2014, totaling nine seasons and a whopping 208 episodes. Craig Erwich, who is the president of Hulu Originals shared the same enthusiasm Aptaker and Berger have with bringing this series to life starring the pop-icon Hilary Duff.
Erwich shared in a statement, “Isaac and Elizabeth have an inspired take on this new version that honors what Carter and Craig created with the original and moves the franchise forward. Coupled with the passion and infectious energy Hilary brings to every role she takes on, we can’t wait to suit up and bring audiences How I Met Your Father.”

Hilary Duff has been extremely busy nowadays. The star is a mother to three children, and just recently gave birth to her daughter, Mae in March. Duff has returned to the small screens, as the seventh and final season of Younger has also been made available to stream on Hulu. Earlier this month, it had been revealed that Duff is potentially starring in a Younger spinoff. Duff continues to remain busy, leaving fans in awe of balancing work and motherhood.
