Saweetie joins the newly-minted trio Little Mix for their latest single, a remix of their song “Confetti” premiering April 30. The song originally appeared as the title track off the group’s sixth album and last with former member Jesy Nelson.

Nelson left the group in December 2020 for mental health reasons, one month after the album came out. It is unknown if Nelson, who appears on the album version, will feature in the remix alongside Little Mix members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and rapper Saweetie.

Little Mix announced the upcoming single on Instagram through IGTV and other social media outlets. “You are going to absolutely gag,” Edwards promises fans in the video. “You’re going to love it.”

In a quote tweet, Saweetie celebrated the announcement by tweeting out “Can’t waiiiiit !!,” alongside five smiley party emojis.

“Confetti” is the fourth single on the album following “Break Up Song”, “Holiday”, and “Sweet Melody”. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the group to push back their Confetti United Kingdom and Ireland tour until later next year.

In 2011, Little Mix became the first group to win The X-Factor and sign an album deal with Columbia Records and Simon Cowell’s record company Syco. Since then, Little Mix has sold over 60 million records and cementing themselves as one of the most successful girl groups of all time.

In anticipation of the single, fans can listen to Confetti and Saweetie’s Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 on all major streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
