Emilia Clarke Cast In Marvel Studios ‘Secret Invasion’
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will be cast in Marvel Studios Secret Invasion which will be available on Disney+. Clarke’s role is currently unknown.
Clarke is a 4-time Emmy winner best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones. She has been nominated for multiple Critics Choice Awards, been the 2018 recipient of the BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the year, and was ranked one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People. She starred in the holiday film Last Christmas, as well as Me Before You, Terminator Genisys, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Clarke has an upcoming role as Malicia in an animated film called The Amazing Maurice.

The cast of Secret Invasion will include Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Coleman. Clarke’s fellow Game of Thrones cast members Kit Harington and Richard Madden are also joining the MCU in The Eternals which is set to release on November 5, 2021.

EW reports that Clarke has written a comic book called M.O.M Mother of Madness. It is set to be a 3-issue Image Comics miniseries that was co-written with Marguerite Bennett. M.O.M. is about a single mother named Maya who has superpowers that she uses to hunt down human traffickers. She will have different types of superpowers based on the time during her menstrual cycle. Clarke claims that she uses dry and witty Deadpool-Esque humor with a feminist twist. There are feminist references throughout the comic including the mask that Maya wears, which is reminiscent of the colorful balaclavas that the Russian punk band P*ssy Riot wear.
